[RL - Gai's Wondrous Winter Birthday Bash]

Just as Gai had said, he put together a simple but decorative outdoor skating rink in a large empty lot. The walls of the rink had green ribbons around the inside and outside, and there was a small booth at the side where guests could rent skates if they didn't have any of their own. Nearby was a restaurant, with warm lights enticing those who want a break from the winter chill.

And to set the mood just right, light snow was drifting down on the scene; quite a charming set-up really.

((OOC: I'll be setting up separate comment threads, first for the rink then later for the restaurant since they'll be going there for dinner. This isn't supposed to be anything fancy, but hijinks are cool. :3 Mingle, have fun, so on and so forth.))

"Indeed. Indeed, I did." Smiling with a chuckle. Of course, Jack did not. Kabuto had for his 'special' friends at the Leaf Village. But Jack was not to tell, how could he? Without saying, 'he's hiding out in my world, don't ya know?'

"Would you like one?" Offering Gai the tray of cookies, "Then I can take my shoes off and we can go skating.
Adding; "Where's mother?"

"Most certainly! A little treat would be a great boost for getting started!" the Jounin exclaimed. He relieved Jack of the cookie tray, and took in his other question as he looked amongst the cookies for his first victim.

"'Mother'? Are you talking about Tsunade-sama?"

"Excatly!"
Frost slide off his loafers as Gai took the cookie tray, placing them on the bench, and now walking bare footed.
Then nodded, "I have to thank her for becoming an offical honorary citizen of Konoha this..." Pausing to choose his words right, "Christmas."

"Is that so? It is an honour indeed to have you with us," he congratulated as he picked up a particularly large and chunky cookie. "I'm not sure where Tsunade-sama is, however. She mentioned that she would try to come."

Gai sniffed at the cookie, remarking, "These certainly smell delicious! I've never smelled a chocolate chip cookie that seems to have a zing to it."

"It be!" The elf pulled out his ID card from inside his pocket. "Cool. Cool. I hope she does now."

Frost chuckled; "I've never baked any with so much zing either..." As he paused and looked at the water, "Need more ice?"

It was with great admiration that Gai looked upon Jack's Konoha ID card. "Ah, a bit more ice would do the rink some good. Thank you m friend."

"Now then, to sample your affectionate confections!" Gai exclaimed as he turned his attention back to the cookie at hand, his mouth opening wide and taking a large bite out of it. He chewed once, then again, then stopped. A bright, burning red flushed into his face; he took a long inhale breath, and the exhale came out his flared nostrils in a great puff of smoke. A few strangled sounds managed to burble out of the Jounin's throat before he gave in and yelled.

Flicking the id away, "No problem. Step aside."

Jack faced towards the rink and inhaled, allowing his face to turn a dark shade of blue and grey hair and slowly let out a thick smog and let that settle.

"There." As he step back to Gai.

Frost blinked and stepped back, oops.

At last the yell faded, though the hot red boiling in his flesh did not. Despite the strength of Gai's cry, he seemed to have the lung-capacity to make the next thing he said just as loud.

"TWO-HIT TASTE COMBO!! Jack, these cookies - they're perfect!! Never have I thought that the sweet caress of chocolate could be accentuated by the fiery, smouldering bite of hot peppers! These cookies are not merely a combination of the two, but a marriage of two amazing textures that have produced a most perfect, blended offspring!"

Unable to resist any longer, Gai finished off what was left of that cookie and ate another. "Ah, I mustn't lose control...I shall save the rest for my guests, and for later. Surely this is a culinary gift that must not be squandered by any one person."

Frost looked like he was in pain as Gai shouted, and pulled his face in a such a twisty twist way.

When the ninja had finished, replied slowly, "...Ooooowww."

"Yeah, yeah you do that." As the elf twisted a finger in one of his pointy ears.

It took a good long minute of panting smoke before Gai spoke again. "Are you all right Jack? You seem uncomfortable. Here - have a cookie!" he said as he, will perfectly good intention, offered the tray of cookies to his friend. "Or perhaps you'll feel better once we hit the ice?"

"Oh, I are fine... Just... Just fine."

Squinting his eyes. "Thanks.." Pushing his chilly hands onto the tray, then whispering, "But I think the ice would do me better." Pausing for a second, "Race ya!"
